This need has been met by - The BORETECT™ Collar, which is injection moulded from High Density Polyethylene
and is Quality Controlled to satisfy the following criteria.
The BORETECT™ collar is easy for operators to handle and is:
- Tough enough to resist being cut by the sharp edges of a steel coil.
- Split ring to facilitate easy fitting into the bore of a coil.
- Resilient to secure the inner lap of a coil with a mechanical locking mechanism to ensure the collar maintains a tight fit in the bore. This is imperative when used in conjunction with a coil wrapping machine. Bore blocks are potentially costly effecting in-line production and loss of packaging materials.
- Capable of accommodating protruding coil laps at the bore and providing space between the coil walls and crane lifting tongs, which is achieved by deep convolutions on the face of the collar along with an extended skirt into the bore of the coil (approx. 150mm).
- Manufactured from a material that facilities re-use of the collars and eventual re-cycling.
